At Little Harvard, all children of three years and over are taught using the Montessori method. This method was initially developed by Dr Maria Montessori whereby the child is encouraged to work at their own pace, as an individual, developing their own skills, interests and thus personality. One of the aims of Montessori is to encourage the child's natural desire to learn, emotional growth, physical co-ordination, develop social skills as well as cognitive development, in a prepared environment.
