Kids Arts & Crafts – Lollipop Stick Photo Frame

  • Little Harvard Crche

We’ve been very busy here at Little Harvard Creche, and we have lots of new arts and crafts ideas. This week, we’re going to tell you how you can make your very own Lollipop Stick Frame. You can use it to frame your photos, or even frame your kid’s artwork. We know that your kids will love this and they can be as creative and imaginative as they like. Follow our step-by-step guide to find out to make them!

You will need:

  • Popsicle sticks

  • Cardboard

  • PVA Glue

  • Poster Paint

  • Paint Brush

  • Ruler, Pencil, Scissors

  • Picture or Photo

  • Things to decorate like buttons, feathers, sequins, & felt.

A basic lollipop stick photo frame will need just 4 sticks, one for each side. Depending on how wide you want to make it you can add more accordingly. Once you have decided on its size and shape, glue the sticks together and paint it your desired colour. When it has dried use the glue to decorate it as you please with materials of your taste. Use a ruler to trace the size of the frame onto a piece of cardboard and cut it out, you can use this as the back of the frame. Place whatever photo or picture you are using on the inside of the frame and then glue the frame onto it it. You can even glue a smaller piece of cardboard to the back of it to use as a stand. Voila, you have a masterpiece within a masterpiece. Your preschool aged kids will love this!
